“Mr. Trump was pursuing a PERSONAL quid quo pro in direct violation of the national interest as expressed in the declared intention of Congress. Therefore, Mr. Trump’s action was most certainly impeachable.”

This is the Dem interpretation — how is it that they can read Trump’s mind? Who testified to this who could refer to direct conversation with the President? Only one person: Sondland. And what was his testimony? That when he spoke with Trump, the President said “no quid pro quo.”

“ That does not address my question. We have standard redaction methodologies for protecting secret information while releasing information to the public.”

Yes, it did answer your question, which was why the transcript “is being hidden.” You seem to think that there is another exact transcript of the call which is being withheld — there isn’t. The subsequent reporting on this referred to transcripts of other calls between Zelensky and Trump — one of which was recently released.

“Inapplicable. The release of the partial transcript included a great deal of commentary from Mr. Zelensky, and that release was not cleared with Mr. Zelensky. Protecting Mr. Zelensky is most definitely not the reason for hiding the true contents of the conversation.”

You are seriously misinformed. The release was OK’d by Zelensky through normal channels for this sort of thing… as was the release of a transcript of a previous conversation.

“Irrelevant. The transcript is being hidden from the public and no reason has been offered for why it is being hidden. If it were being held for reasons of national security, why doesn’t Mr. Trump have it appropriately redacted and released?”

Again, you are misinformed. You seem to believe there is another transcript of the call which started this; there isn’t.

“Irrelevant. The treatment of other transcripts is irrelevant to the question of why the transcript in question has not been released in redacted form.”

See above.
