You did not answer my question: Did you read my article on EVs? You claim they are useless. Have you considered a phishing attack which registers a domain that looks like a legit domain by changing a single letter? Have you seen the difference between a ‘g’ and a ‘q’ in a hyperlink which is underlined? They are all but indistinguishable.

Read my article where I map out what a phishing campaign might look like and how an EV can help provide a little more info to the user to avoid getting duped. Then offer an intelligent comment beyond “calm down.”
